GVSBI was established in 1954 to provide support and training to boards of education in a 9 county region of upstate New York. In 1990, GVSBI partnered with the Wayne-Finger Lakes Board Of Cooperative Educational Services. 

Our current focus is to provide professional development opportunities for support staff within school districts.  Each year we hold a variety of conferences to enhance skills, obtain certifications, teach required training, invoke awareness discussions, and to help support staff to achieve their professional goals. We currently do not provide training to Boards of Education.

Our conferences are usually held in the Greater Rochester, NY area.
